Temporize

Temporize

Measure, analyze and correct your tempo.

Temporize simplifies tempo work, from a simple metronome to full track tempo analysis and correction.

Temporize Lite Free

Measure • Play • Practice

A simple and customizable metronome with audio click, visual cue, or both, especially useful for musicians and drummers.

Instantly measure a tempo with Tap Tempo, automatically detect BPM from the microphone or from an audio file, and practice along with a synchronized metronome.

→ The tempo essentials, for free.

Temporize Standard

Analyze • Understand • Locate

Temporize does not stop at the average BPM: it analyzes how the tempo evolves across the entire track.

It detects accelerations, slowdowns, drifts and unaligned restarts, as well as breaks, bridges and transitions whose length does not match the expected rhythmic structure.
Ideal for analyzing naturally played drums, assembling parts from different sources, or checking the tempo of AI-generated productions.

Detected variations can be exported as a report (time references + DAW bar positions) and a MIDI Tempo Map so you can continue working in your music environment.

→ You know precisely where and how the tempo changes.

Temporize PRO

Analyze • Correct • Export

Temporize PRO adds automatic audio tempo correction with two correction modes: a natural mode that preserves a controlled amount of timing variation, and a forced mode for stricter tempo alignment.

Choose your target tempo and let Temporize correct tempo drift. Breaks, bridges and transitions of an unexpected length are detected, but only their tempo is corrected, not their length.
The next update (see FAQ) will let you select the sections to correct and exclusion zones that will remain untouched.

Especially useful for regularizing drums, combining tracks or takes with different tempos, and putting AI-generated productions or stems back on the grid before continuing in a DAW.

The original file is preserved and Temporize automatically generates the corrected version.

→ From analysis to corrected audio file in just a few steps.

A complex process made simple

Creating a Tempo Map, managing Warp, correcting different sections and exporting the result can require many operations in a traditional production environment.

Temporize PRO automates this process.

Load → Analyze → Follow the recommendations → Correct → Export.

A few buttons and simple indications are enough. Detection, calculations, time handling and file creation are automated.

You choose the result. Temporize handles the technical work.

Temporize PRO can also process a batch of files based on the analysis of a master file, or template (Mac app only).

The five steps of Temporize: load your file, analyze, choose settings, correct and export

The WAV format is recommended. MP3 files can introduce offsets at the beginning of the file and, above all, quality loss due to compression.

Upcoming Temporize developments and improvements
  • Languages: Already available in English, French and German, Temporize will add Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese and Japanese.
  • Processing optimization using the GPU.
  • Tempo correction: The ability to select exclusion zones that remain untouched, to preserve accelerations, effects on breaks, and more.
Which platforms will Temporize support?

Temporize is available on Mac and iPhone/iPad in Lite, Standard and PRO versions.
Only batch processing is exclusive to the PRO version on Mac.
Depending on user feedback and requests (via the form linked at the bottom of this page), batch processing could be added to iPhone/iPad, and Temporize could be ported to other platforms.

What happens if the BPM is not regular?
  • Temporize Lite identifies the type of tempo anomaly and reports the amount of variation (for example: ± 1.29 BPM).
    Analysis export (Lite).
  • Temporize Standard/PRO go further by analyzing all tempo variations and transitions whose duration does not match the expected rhythmic structure.
Detailed analysis export (time/bar references) and MIDI file export with the timeline.
Can I upgrade from Standard to PRO?

Yes. An upgrade from Standard to PRO will be available to add automatic correction and realignment features, plus batch processing in the Mac app only.

What is a DAW?

DAW stands for “Digital Audio Workstation”. It is software such as Cubase, n-Track Studio or Logic Pro that lets you work with audio and MIDI files.
